Opportunity to be funded to attend the 2010 United Nations/International Astronautical Federation Workshop in the Czech Republic

Thanks to the continuous cooperation between SGAC and the UN OOSA, SGAC members are being offered the opportunity to attend 2010's UN/IAF workshop on the theme "GNSS Applications for Human Benefit and Development" from 24 to 25 September 2010, in Prague, Czech Republic. Winners will also be invited to attend SGAC's Space Generation Congress, 23-25 September and the International Astronautical Congress 27 October - 1 September, both also in Prague. **Applications are due by April 30, 2010 -- please read further for full details including application forms**


SGAC Executive Office Participates in the Yuris Night in Vienna

Commemorating the launch of the first man into space and the first launch of a Space Shuttle, the Yuri´s Night is a truly global event. On the eve of the 12th of April 2010, Yuri´s Night was also celebrated in the historical centre of Vienna, organised by a local Austrian space enthusiast in cooperation with SGAC and the Austrian Space Forum.

SGAC Executive Director Participates in the ESA-EC Workshop on Science and Education with in Space Exploration

Ariane Cornell addressed the closed workshop of European scientists and policy makers on March 29 and 30.

On March 30th, SGAC Executive Director, Ariane Cornell, presented a digest of the findings of the SGAC 50 Years Vision Project and the SGAC Youth Decadal Vision as part of the European Space Agency (ESA) - European Commission (EC) Workshop on Science and Education within Space Exploration. Ariane introduced the young perspective on what the focuses of space exploration and human development in space should be.
