SGAC membership has been steadily growing throughout the years. Among our membership there are many incredible young space enthusiasts who should be recognised for their hard work and contributions to SGAC. In December 2009, the SGAC Executive Council decided to acknowledge one member per month for his or her outstanding work and contributions to SGAC and its goals.

SGAC is proud to present the SGAC December 2012 Member of the Month: Marc Cornwall (Jamaica)

Marc CornwallMarc is a national of Jamaica and serves as its National Point of Contact. He is also a member of the Communications and Public Relations team where he works on the graphic design elements of various SGAC publications. Marc is currently completing a doctorate in planetary geophysics in the United Kingdom.

Andrea Jaime (Executive Director) nominated Marc
"Marc has been doing an amazing job as the SGAC Layout Editor, turning all our reports into very professional and nice documents, making a huge effort since last year to implement the new branding of the organisation in all our publications. This period of time is especially busy for him, because he is working on the Annual Report and its Executive Summary, the SGC Report and the Executive Summary, and the Holiday Card. He deserves a special mention at this particular time."

Here is Mark's reaction:
"I am now twice humbled to be an SGAC Member of the Month. Since joining the organisation in 2007 I've seen it develop from strength to strength and see no sign of it slowing down. I am proud to say that my involvement with SGAC has benefited me both personally and professionally as I've met and worked with colleagues from all over the globe... And since its December I take this unique opportunity to which you all a fantastic holiday season and an even more fantastic year ahead."

From SGAC Chair, CJ Nwosa:
"Over the years, Marc has demonstrated commendable dedication and resourcefulness towards SGAC. Through his efforts in packaging our reports and logos, he has contributed immensely to promoting the organisation's corporate identity. He is well deserving of this award. Congratulations Marc!"
